Kyle
Golding defines Graphic Design / Graphic Arts for
the OK Gazette
Writer
Stephen Kovash asked me to define the difference between
Graphic Design and Graphic Arts. I
explained it this way:
"Graphic
Art and Design are about the form and the message: Graphic
Arts favor form first, with message second. The focus
is art that also might have a message. Graphic Design
is the practical use of Graphic Art. The focus is packaging
the message in an attractive manner so the viewer better
understands the message." |
